Yakima County Commissioner Vicki Baker brought a glimmer of hope to KIT's Morning News program today (6/25/20).  She was cautiously optimistic that Governor Jay Inslee's recent visit to Yakima will prove successful in considering adjusted guidelines for the County to reopen for business.

Baker says the County Heath Officer has started paperwork that will be needed to expedite the process of moving to phase two once the County achieves an approved statistical medical profile.  Baker hopes the numbers can be renegotiated based on the on-the-ground-reality of need  in the County.
