5th Annual Downtown Yakima Chalk Art Festival This Saturday

Time to get your chalk on! The Downtown Association of Yakima (DAY) is hosting the 5th annual chalk art festival.  About 100 participants and more than 1,000 spectators are expected to be on hand for the event on North 3^rd Street between Yakima Avenue and Staff Sgt. Pendleton Way.

Drivers take note, North 3^rd Street will be close

d from Yakima Avenue to Staff Sgt. Pendleton Way. In addition, Staff Sgt. Pendleton Way will be closed between 3^rd Street and 2^nd Street. The closures take effect this Saturday at 8:00 am, when set-up for the Chalk Art Festival will begin.

Access will be available for residents in the areas impacted by the closures.
