Yakima Police are investigating a gang related homicide reported at about 9:30 Monday night. Capt. Jay Seely say a 14-year boy was taken to a hospital by a private vehicle where he died. Seely says they believe the shooting happened in the 1100 block of Willow Street in Yakima. Police are trying to determine if it was an intentional or accidental shooting. The teen has been identified as 14-year-old Charles Taylor of Yakima.
Police were initially called to Good Samaritan Health Care Center in Yakima where the private vehicle first stopped for help. They were then given the correct directions to Yakima Virginia Mason Memorial Hospital. Police have recovered the gun. Now they're trying to find the person who drove the boy to the hospital and the person responsible for the shooting.
No arrests have been made as the investigation continues Today.
