Yakima Training Center Will Be Busy This Weekend

It’s going to be another booming weekend in the Yakima Valley, literally. That’s because the US Army will be busy at the Yakima Training Center. A news release from the center reads;

Soldiers from the 5th Battalion, 3rd Field Artillery Regiment, 17th Fires Brigade will conduct live-fire training with the high-mobility artillery rocket system (HIMARS) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. this Saturday,    March 17 at Yakima Training Center.

Officials say the training is part of a certification process for two of the battalion’s platoons.
