Yakima Police PIO Suspended For Road Rage Incident
Yakima's Public Information Specialist was the subject of a Saturday front page cover story on the Yakima Herald Republic and a lot of talk on social media. Mike Bastinelli is now being investigated for a road rage incident that reportedly happened earlier this summer.
A complaint filed with the department claims Bastinelli followed and harassed another driver following the driver after watching the person run a stop sign. It happened on July 10 and was apparently an incident caught on camera in the parking lot of the Yakima County Department of Corrections where the other driver was employed.
Bastinelli remains on paid administrative leave and is not allowed to comment on the incident. However his job has been eliminated as part of the 2019 budget that starts in January.
