Yakima Grandmother Arrested For Shooting Granddaughter
Yakima Police say an 87-year-old woman faces a charge of second degree murder for the fatal shooting of her 34-year-old granddaughter early Monday morning at a home in the 600 block of North 3rd Street. Lt. Mike Pollard says officers were called to the home at about 12:20 a.m. where they found 34-year-old Tiffany Roberts had been shot. Pollard says the 87-year-old grandmother shot through a bedroom door while the two were in an argument. "It looks like the grandmother and the granddaughter got a place together with the hopes of maybe helping the granddaughter get her life back together and obviously it worked out with horrible results."
Pollard says police arrested the 87-year-old grandmother, Wanda Roberts. She's being held in the Yakima county jail on a charge of second degree murder. The investigation continues Today.
