Making our city look beautiful is the job city crews. They're not only charged with fixing city streets and signals but also making the city welcoming.

Drivers are reminded that the speed limit through all traffic-related work zones within the City of Yakima is 20 miles-per-hour.

Work will continue to impact the area until the project is finished on Friday, June 14.

"As a result of the project, 32nd Avenue will be closed between Webster Avenue and Arlington Street from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm each day while the project is ongoing. Detour routes around the project area will be available.

Work on the project will begin at 7:00 am and last until 3:30 pm each day.

As a result of the project, southbound traffic along a section of 72nd Avenue in the 600 and 700 block portion of the street will be restricted to one lane from 9:00 am to about 1:00 pm on September 13th.

Between 9:00 am and about noon on May 23rd, the signals at the 56th Avenue and Summitview Avenue intersection will not be working.
