The man was taken to Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital where he was being treated over the weekend.

Yakima Police are now investigating. They say it was reported at about 9:35PM Sunday.

The investigation continues Today by the Yakima Police Department. No charges against the driver are expected.

The name of the person who was killed is expected to be released after the person's family has been notified.

Troopers say she was walking in the road when she was struck by a driver from Selah near Resthaven Road. The crash was reported at about 7:30 p.m. Friday. The driver was not injured or cited.

The crash remains under investigation.

The 28-year-old is being held on charge of second-degree assault, possession of a controlled substance and third-degree malicious mischief.

Yakima County Sheriff’s Office deputies and officers from the Yakama Indian Nation Police Department responded to a home invasion robbery which took place in the 11600 block of Branch Road, in the rural Harrah area.

Yakima Police say the 71-year-old man was taken to the hospital in critical condition after being hit by a truck as he was walking in the parking lot at the AM/PM convenience store at 912 North First Street.
