Then Thursday afternoon firefighters responded to the South Fork Fire on the South Fork Tieton Road.

The first was reported near White Swan on Wednesday according to officials at Yakima Valley Emergency Management.

Firefighters from around the region are battling the flames and now say they have 20% containment on the fire which is now at 3,700 acres.

Hundreds of firefighters from throughout the region and the state are on the fire lines. No word on how the fire started.
