The event will be held starting at 11:00 a.m. until supplies last at the United Family center at 106 North Elm Street in Grandview.

The event will happen in the north parking lot of the Salvation Army in Yakima.

Stein’s Ace Hardware will match food and cash/check donations up to $2500.

Salvation Army officials will be accepting donations at the the south parking lot at 9 south 6th Avenue from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Helms says they're going shopping on Saturday December 14 and sponsors are welcome to attend. If you're interested contact Lt. Rebecka Helms at the Yakima Salvation Army at 823-1813.

on Saturday Sunwest Limousine kicks off their Christmas Light Tour by giving free limo rides from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in exchange for a new toy to be given to a child for Christmas. The Limo’s leave every hour starting at 5:00 p.m. from Apple Tree Resort at 8804 Occidental Avenue.

This past Christmas season the Salvation Army collected a total of $107,000. Sargent says that's still a lot of money people contributed and it'll be used to help people in Yakima in the new year.
