The Yakima Salvation Army has been helping families hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic. Officials say they continue to see big crowds at food giveaways and the food bank. Another big crowd is expected Tuesday, July 28 when the Yakima Salvation Army holds another drive through food distribution...

The event will be held starting at 11:00 a.m. until supplies last at the United Family center at 106 North Elm Street in Grandview.

The event will happen in the north parking lot of the Salvation Army in Yakima.

Stein’s Ace Hardware will match food and cash/check donations up to $2500.

Salvation Army officials will be accepting donations at the the south parking lot at 9 south 6th Avenue from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
