Prosecutor Joe Brusic says he's met with Detectives from the Yakima County Sheriff's Office about the ongoing investigation.

A witness did follow the suspect vehicle and was able to get a license plate but wasn't able to identify the driver.

The suspect is not in custody and deputies are now searching for the person to make an arrest. Even though authorities know the name of the suspect no name has been released.

Yakima Police say 28-year-old Samantha Spencer was hit as she was walking in the 1800 block of Gordon Road on Friday afternoon.

62-year-old firefighter Terry Carter of Granger was struck while he was working on a crash along I-82 on Sunday. Carter was taken to a Yakima hospital with injuries.

Police spokesman Mike Bastinelli says it happened January 23 in front of the Olive Garden restaurant on Yakima Avenue.
