16-year-old Luis Daniel Valencia is facing a charge of second-degree murder.

Officers were called to the area of 3rd Avenue and Yakima Avenue at about 7:00PM where they found a victim.

Police say the two chased a car load of other gang members to the area and opened fire on them.

When they arrived they found a 15-year-old girl, who is a local gang member shot in the chest area.

An arrest warrant has been issued for 26-year-old Jonathan Edgar Navarro, a Toppenish gang member

Cobb says there was an "altercation" earlier in the day that lead to the deadly shooting between the gang members outside the mall.

The FBI Safe Streets Task Force is expected to be in operation early next year throughout Yakima County.
