Restaurant menu price inflation hit a 39-year high last month as high costs for food and labor continue. Restaurant Business, a commercial foodservice industry publication, reports limited-service restaurant prices rose 7.9%, while full-service increased 6%.
January-August U.S. beef exports were slightly below 2018’s record pace, declining 2% in volume and 1% in value. Accounted for 14% of total U.S. beef production in August.
