Two suspects are spending the night in the Yakima County Jail on charges of robbery according to a press release from the Yakima County Sheriff's office.

Two reports of burglaries in the Tampico area came into the Yakima County Sheriff's office Friday morning. A witness saw a suspicious vehicle leaving the site of one of the burglaries and followed the car while sheriff's deputies caught up.

The vehicle ran into a ditch in the 14000 block of Rutherford Road where the suspects then fled on foot. YSO Deputies set up a perimeter and used the K9 units to track the suspects down. There was also a search warrant issued which yielded stolen merchandise from one of the sites of the robbery.

The two suspects are a 32-year-old male from Yakima and a 22-year-old female from Sunnyside.

The suspects are also under investigation for hunting violations by the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife.
