Slowdowns Expected Over Snoqualmie Pass

Welcome to construction season at Snoqualmie Pass.

Megan McFadden with the state Department of Transportation in Union Gap says you can expect slow going over Snoqualmie Pass all week.

I-90 will be down to two lanes until Friday because we’re building detours for future work.

Then, after Friday, two lanes in each direction will be open. The lane closures, coupled with closures for rock blasting work, means drivers should expect delays and closures on I-90 for the remainder of the spring and summer.

Meantime, work on Highway 12 near White Pass should be completed by the end of the month.
