Yakima County Auditor Charles Ross says more than 70 percent of county voters turned out for the presidential election on Tuesday. And that 70 percent number is expected to grow when more ballots are counted today.

Ross tells KIT News, "We're going to process more ballots in this election than the county ever has because we have a larger data base. We have 114,000 voters and 80 percent are taking part in this election."

Ross says while more ballots will be counted today and later this week, he doesn't expect the outcomes of any races or issues to change. Today the auditor's office is busy processing ballots that were in drop boxes and those that arrive in the mail.
The results of the election will be certified on Nov. 29.
