The Yakima office of the American Red Cross will celebrate the lives of real heroes in Yakima during the "Real Heroes Luncheon" next month.

Yakima Red Cross office Executive Director Lisa Rhinehart Kapuza says, “It’s just people that have gone above and beyond and put other peoples lives above theirs.”

There will be seven people honored on Mar. 26 including a Washington State Patrol trooper who saved a woman from a car in a pond near Ellensburg in October of 2013.

Contact the Red Cross office in Yakima if you are interested in attending.
