Discover The Heartfelt ‘Boots On The Ground’ Exhibit In Spokane

At the Northtown Mall in Spokane, Washington, they have a preview of the Boots on the Ground display that will be available for Memorial Day Weekend.

It was a thoughtful way to display and honor our fallen heroes from post-9/11 and Vietnam.

If you find yourself in Spokane on Memorial Day, this will be fully on display May 25th and May 26th at Illuminating Courage Memorial at 700 W. Mallon Ave. where the Spokane Arena is.

In the meantime you can visit the Northtown Mall on North Division for this preview.

The concept is simple, yet touching.

They showcase their boots, along with a photo of them, their name, their division, and their birthday through when they passed.

It was one of those displays that made me stop and look for a moment.

I didn't know any of these people, personally. And, to be fair, they didn't know me, but that didn't stop them from serving and protecting me and people like me.

I'm sure these photos from what they had at the mall is simply a taste; a small sample of what we can expect on Memorial Day.
