Yakima Man’s Magic 8-Ball Bracket Predictions!
If you haven't made your picks in the Million Dollar Bracket Challenge powered by Yakima Steak Company, it might already be too late for you.
After the deadline, all that you can really do is sit back, watch, and cross your fingers.
I'm not a sports guy. I don't know stats, technique, plays, and in many sports, I'm not even fully sure of the rules, but with something as easy as filling out the bracket, I have my fun.
Where my buddy knows all about sports statistics, I tend to lean more towards the games of chance and, as I joke, the 'Dark Arts' of choice.
Last year, I learned a very valuable lesson when attempting to make my predictions with the Bracket Challenge by using a Tarot Card deck to make my decisions. Check out what happened with that adventure here.
In previous years, using the Magic 8-Ball was around 65% accurate, so it was better than half. Let's see how well it does this year! Follow along with 'Timmy's Magic 8-Ball' to see if you are better or worse than the hands of Dark Magic & Mattel.
How The Basketball Choices Were Made With The Magic 8-Ball
When making my picks using the Magic 8-Ball, I went top to bottom, left to right (in regards to how our bracket is set up). South, West, East, Midwest.
I went through all of the Round of 64, then Round of 32, then Round of 16, then Quarter Finals, Semi, and Finals.

For the tiebreaker, I asked if the number was less than 100, then less than 75, then less than 60, then greater than 65, and it eventually led me to my choice of 66 for the Tie-Breaker.
I would ask the question, "Would _______ defeat _______?"
If the 8-Ball gave me the response to 'Try Again' or any variation of that, I'd ask the same question in the opposite order.
The only bout that gave me some issue was BYU vs VCU. I had to ask the 8-Ball over 10 times. So, let's see if there is any drama in that game.
