The Benton County Sheriff's Department, til further notice on Wednesday February 22nd, has closed all county maintained roads in the Horse Heaven Hills area.

   Numerous roads from south Kennewick towards Prosser and beyond closed

As of early Tuesday morning, the BCSO announced that all county roads in the area have been closed.

They did not give a specific list of closures, except that all roads considered county have some sort of closure.

There are several dozen roads that work through the area, ranging from south Kennewick towards Prosser and the valley. The BCSO says if you come across a road closed sign, do not move it or drive around it. There have already been an number of vehicles that had to be assisted due to blinding blowing snow and slick driving conditions.

The snow is expected to let up later today, no word on when these restrictions will be lifted.
