
Gang Intervention Expert From Los Angeles To Visit Yakima In October For Free Event
A man who has worked to help change lives of hardcore gang members in California will hold a workshop in Yakima next month. City, church, school and local police officials are invited to attend the event October 7 at St. Joseph's Catholic Parish. Rev. Gregory Boyle, founder of Homeboy Industries, a gang intervention and rehabilitation program in Los Angeles will talk about the challenges and successes he's seen in California. Schools, police departments, city officials and those from local non-profit organizations are urged to attend.
