Hundreds of people will get a free Thanksgiving meal this Saturday at Davis High School. It is called “Feeding the 5,000 Thanksgiving Celebration” by Yakima’s Cross Church. Coordinator Judy Parten says the number of people enjoying a free meal has increased every year and so to have the number of people to volunteer to help. More than 600 people enjoyed a free meal last year. They hope to eventually feed up to 5000. Everyone is invited on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Davis High School cafeteria. There is no charge and donations are not being requested.
