The 14th legislative district extends from Selah to the Columbia Gorge.  White Salmon is located in the southern part of the district and that's home to political newcomer and State Representative challenger Devin Kuh. (pronounced as Que, like the letter "Q")

Kuh is a high school math, economics, Spanish and English teacher who says he saw incumbent Gina Mosbrucker (R) running unopposed, so he mounted a write-in campaign and got on the ballot as a Democrat.
If elected, Kuh says his focus will be expanding student opportunities through education, reprioritizing the state budget, creating more economic opportunities,  supporting agriculture and hard working families.
He appeared as a guest on KIT's Morning News to talk about why he wants to serve the people of the 14th district.
