How're ya feelin'? I was born and raised right here in Yakima. Though I moved away for about 10 years I found my way back and glad I did. I love to cheerlead new restaurants and businesses coming to town. Also a fan of craft beer, being we live in the hop capital of the world. #ShopLocal #DrinkLocal I have three amazing kids, love breakfast cereal and am a huge retro gamer. I love new video games, too, but have a deep appreciation for the classics on systems like NES and Sega Genesis.

Washington Ranked 2nd Best State for Camping – Who Could Possibly Be Better than WA?
Well, you know what they say about camping...
...it's in tents (intense)
Yep, anyways.
Washington State has no lack of options when it comes to, not just the great outdoors, but the best outdoors. Camping, fishing, rock climbing, stone skipping, that weird rock balancing thing people do, or even just hanging out outside looking for UFOs, you can do it all right here in our own backyard...

5 Ways to Make ‘Yakima Wings’ to Delight your Taste Buds
I've started seeing more and more local businesses and restaurants get into the Yakima vibe by using all the great resources we have right in our own backyard. I've seen people sell Yakima Roll for sushi, Yakima Tacos, Yakima Pizza and basically any food you can think of, just add 'Yakima' to it and you're golden...
I Think Yakima Would Do Excellent with a Build-a-Bear in Eastern WA
I remember when I first heard the concept of a Build-a-Bear and was mildly intrigued. The idea that you basically choose an unstuffed bear (at the time), take it up to the counter where they'd ask you to step on the pedal to activate the machine that fills the teddy bears with fluff to make it as soft or as firm as you wish...
Deep Fried Sushi in Selah, WA? Don’t Knock It ’til You’ve Tried It
I try my best to be as culturally sensitive to food as much as I can. Like in Japan it's not nice to shove your chopsticks into your bowl of rice as a means to hold your chopsticks or, when you eat sushi, to pop the entire piece into your mouth...
In a Time of Inflation, WA Shop Won’t Sell Pop for More than 50 Cents
I hate to sound like my dad, but I totally get it now. Cranky old me saying things like ",when I was your age, candy bars cost 35 cents," or, "I remember when I saw gas less than a dollar." It's hard to justify today's prices when it doesn't seem like things were cheaper not that long ago...
5 Reasons to Watch ‘SpongeBob: The Musical’ at Eisenhower High School
I caught the first showing of SpongeBob SquarePants: The Musical performed by the IKE Players at Eisenhower High School. I had a great time and everyone in the audience did as well. They're only performing this show 8 times (7, as I'm writing this) so make sure you don't miss out. Here are 5 reasons you should watch SpongeBob: The Musical.
Yakima Bringing, Yet, Another Starbucks and People are Questioning Why
Yakima is the kind of town that people get excited for new restaurants and businesses opening up. When there's first sight of a new business being built, rumors already start running wild of what the place is or should be.
Hogback Development is no stranger to putting in new businesses to the Yakima valley...
Yakima Not Only Needs an IHOP, but Demands an IHOP
What do we want? IHOP!
When to we want it? NOW!
Well, maybe not that extreme but I think it'd be amazing if we had an IHOP back in Yakima.
We had an IHOP for many years. Though in Union Gap it made it a bit of a drive for me back when we had one, but always worth the trip...
If You Have 10,000 Dollars, You Can Open Your Own Chic-fil-A Restaurant
When it comes to businesses and restaurants people in Yakima would like to see, Chic-fil-A is often ranked very high in mentions from people around here who would love to see a Chic-fil-A restaurant in town.
Did you know that if you have a spare $10k, you can open your own Chic-fil-A...
