The man behind a suspicious Facebook threat is now in custody. According to Zillah Police Chief Dave Simmons, the 27 year old has been committed under the Involuntary Treatment Act for a mental evaluation. He is accused of posting threatening statements after last weeks school shooting in Connecticut. Zillah Police are working with the Zillah School District and the FBI because the man is from Zillah. Superintendent Kevin McKay sent out a email saying they are taking the threats seriously and are working with law enforcement to make sure Zillah Schools are safe when students return to school January second. McKay said no direct threats were made to any school in Zillah.
