The community of Zillah celebrated the high school basketball team's state championship Wednesday night.

It is the Leopards first state basketball title in 20 years.

Wednesday's celebration included speeches from coaches and fans as well as commemorative t-shirts. Members of the 1956 and 1994 state champion teams like Harold Balmer were also on hand to tell the players how proud they were of their performance.

There’s just so much pride in the community. We’re so happy for the kids. We know they fought hard for the win.

Head Coach Doug Burge says he is already looking forward to next year and thinks the team has a great shot at another state title.
