YVCC Dental Hygiene Program hosts Annual Sealant Day

The Yakima Valley Community College Dental Hygiene Program is hosting the 20th Annual Dental Sealant Day, Saturday, February 2, 2013 from 9:00am – 1:00pm. Patients will receive a free visual dental exam, fluoride varnish, and when needed sealants. Patients age 6-21 can schedule an appointment between January 14 -February 1. Appointments must be scheduled in advance and children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Spanish interpreters are available. Please call 509.574.4917. The Weston D. Brown Dental Hygiene Clinic is located on the Yakima Valley Community College Yakima Campus at 1015 S. 16th Ave. A sealant is a safe plastic coating that is painted onto the tooth. The sealant protects the tooth from bacteria that can cause cavities.  Sealant Day is a collaboration of YVCC, Yakima Valley Dental Hygienists and Dentists, DSHS, and the Yakima Health District.
