Suicide is something very few talk about, but it's a problem in Yakima just like any other area. The annual Youth Suicide Prevention Walk will be held May 23 at the Greenway. Celisa Hopkins is with the Youth Suicide Prevention Program in Yakima. She says the problem is that many people don't know the warning signs, and how to prevent a suicide if a person is suspected of contimplating such an act. You can learn about those signs, and how to help, during the suicide prevention walk at Sarg Hubbard Park on the Greenway May 22 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.

The national suicide preventon hotline is 1-800-273-talk.
