A project involving improvements to part of the system used to deliver electricity to local homes and businesses will result in daytime traffic delays at 40th Avenue and Nob Hill Boulevard Monday (May 11).

Crews from Pacific Power will be stringing new power lines in the area, which will result in the traffic signals at the 40th and Nob Hill needing to operate in the flashing red mode while the project is underway. Flaggers will be in place to help drivers navigate the intersection safely. Work on the project will get underway at 6 a.m. and is expected to be completed by about 3 p.m. During the project, traffic delays in the area are likely to occur.

Drivers should use alternate routes if possible until the project is completed. Access to homes and businesses in the area will be maintained and traffic will be allowed through the project area when possible.
As always, the schedule for this type of a project is subject to change, depending on weather, equipment failure or emergencies.
