Young Life Helps Young Kids Through Sales Of BBQ Beef

When you enjoy a BBQ beef sandwich at the Central Washington State Fair you help hundreds of local kids who are part of Young Life Christian organization. Area Director Craig Hooper says Young Life Clubs are located in area middle and high schools in Yakima County. "We've got about 14 Young Life clubs and on a given week we'll see about 300 to 400 kids show up at a club." The non profit Christian organization's mission is to reach out to middle and high school students who don't attend church or know Christianity. 90 student leaders are located at different schools in the valley. Young Life also hosts about 300 kids for a camp every summer. And the sandwiches you eat help Young Life help more young people in the Yakima Valley.
