The Central Washington chapter of the American Red Cross is reaching out to help people in the Nepal earthquake. Executive Director Peggy Hoggarth says Red Cross officials have been on the ground since the quake hit on Saturday working with the International Red Cross chapter. She says they're hoping for your cash donations at 1-800-red-cross. "That's the easiest way. They can certainly drop by a donation at any of our offices. But I think it's easiest if people just call 1-800-red-cross." Hoggarth says they're only taking monetary donations at this time. She says if you are looking for information about friends or family members in the quake area the Red Cross has set up a special website to coordinate information at familylinks.icrc.org All you do is enter your information and you'll find out if the person you are trying to reach has checked in with the website and the Red Cross.
