Yard-salers caught the scent of bargains in the slightly breezy air of Perry Technical Institute's parking lot Saturday — and that meant everyone bagged their limit during Yakima's Biggest Yard Sale.

Townsquare Media's annual sale, sponsored this year by Goodwill's Yakima, Selah and Ellensburg centers, had a line of shoppers starting before 7 a.m.

And inside the gates? More than 85 vendor booths with more items than anyone had time to inventory: Motorcycles with gleaming chrome, hiking boots, ski equipment, furniture, jewely, stuffed toys, tools — even a kitchen sink, but that was gone before 10 a.m.

The event not only connects local shoppers and sellers, it benefits Northwest Harvest. This year, attendees could get in for $2 if they donated non-perishable food to the agency.

In all, another community success.
