More people are moving to Yakima County.

Fresh numbers from the state put the population inside Yakima County at 246,000. That’s up 1300 from the previous year. Almost 85,000 people live in unincorporated Yakima County.  The incorporated cities inside the county are showing minimal population gains. The City of Yakima now has a population that’s estimated to be just under 92,000.

Washington state's population is continuing to grow at a slow pace. State officials say the state's population has increased by nearly 50,000 people since April 1, 2011.
