Today’s the day mail carriers also deliver the food! The National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) conducts its 24th annual Stamp Out Hunger® Food Drive on Saturday, May 14. For all the knocks on the postal service, this is the country’s largest single-day food drive

All you have to do to help out is leave your donation of non-perishable items next to your mailbox and the letter carriers will do the rest.

The Yakima Union Gospel Mission will be the recipient of all food collected in Yakima and it’s expected to be significant.  Last year more than 3,200 food boxes went out to area families and another 155,841 people were fed in the Mission cafeteria.
