Yakima Women’s Chorus Opening Concert Coming in May

Yakima residents only get two opportunities per year to hear the Bel Canto Yakima Women's Chorus, and their first concert of the year is coming up in May.

The May show is called "Music Says it All" and will take place on the 31st at the Holy Family Gathering Hall at the corner of 56th and Tieton. There will be two shows, one at 3:00 p.m. and one at 7:00 p.m. and will feature special guests Al Maletta with Cathy Kloster along with 2013 scholarship winners.

Bel Canto is a non-profit group that does two concerts per year, one in the spring and then a Christmas concert in December. The money raised from these events goes towards musical scholarships for local high school students. Those scholarship recipients perform at future concerts.
