Yakima Woman Shaken After Carjacking

KIT

A 21-year-old Yakima woman was assaulted by a suspect who stole her car in the 8300 block of Ahtanum Road at about 7:45 a.m. Wednesday.

County sheriff’s deputies say the woman had just taken her young child inside when she returned to the vehicle in her driveway. At that time a man grabbed her around the neck and took her car keys. The man then drove away in the woman’s dark blue GMC Acadia with a license plate number of AHX6173.

The suspect is described as wearing all black clothing with a hoody covering his head. The only other description was a light skin hispanic or white male.

Anyone with any information about the suspect or vehicle is asked to call the county sheriff’s office at 574-2500.

The woman was not injured in the attack.
