Some help came for veterans who are struggling to find work. President Obama signed the "Vow to Hire Heroes Act" into law. It provides tax credits of up to $2,400 for businesses that hire veterans who've been unemployed for at least four weeks. There's more help for veterans unemployed longer than that.

The law pays for the educational services needed to get veterans ready for work. However, some veterans don't think it will help them land a job. The unemployment rate for veterans in Yakima County is 3% higher than non-veterans.
