The First Vice Commander of the American Legion Post in Yakima says he's concerned about President Obama lifting the arms embargo against Vietnam earlier this week. Obama lifted a half-century-old ban on selling arms to Vietnam. Ron Schmidt, a veteran of the US Army from 1963 to 1965 says he questions the move and is concerned about the future. "I wouldn't want them to become a power we'd have to deal with and by lifting the embargo and giving them arms they might possibly do that." Schmidt says the last thing he wants to see is Americans back in Vietnam. And Schmidt says there's never any need for the White House to consider an apology in Vietnam or Hiroshima Japan when the President visits Japan this week.
