Yakima Valley Libraries’ Summer Reading Program “Rocks”

The theme for this year's Yakima Valley Libraries’ Summer Reading Program is   “Libraries Rock!”   They do rock and the extra reading kids log over the summer can go a long toward helping them master reading and enjoying all the advantages that presents.

The program is targeted at kids from Pre-K to 8^th grade and each reader who completes the program will receive a free book from the Yakima Valley Libraries Foundation.

The YVL is also offering a summer event calendar packed with free shows, performers and activities for the whole family.

In addition to these events, patrons can look forward to weekly crafts and activities at their local community library, plus even more children’s performers and S.T.E.M. projects all summer long.
