Nothing big gets done without engineering.  It's a critical profession and field of study and the sooner young kids get interested in it the more likely they are to take up the study and career.

That's the method behind the Yakima Valley College Engineering Department partnering with the Yakima Branch of the American Society of Civil Engineers, in  hosting Engineering Day for Kids.

Saturday, February 23, 2019 from 9am -1pm in YVC’s Hopf Union Building, Building 9, Activity Center is ground zero for the free event which provides hands-on activities for children ages 4-11.

If you have a child who likes to experiment and explore the connections between math, science, and engineering they should plan to attend.
