The fall travel season is underway and the President of Yakima Valley Tourism says Yakima always sees an increase in visitors at this time of year. John Cooper says while other cities start to see a decrease in tourism Yakima always sees an increase because of the harvest that's now underway. "It's harvest all across the board. Lots of fruit and of course the Crush is coming up."  The Crush is an annual event that happens in mid October in which wineries in the Yakima Valley hold events to celebrate the grape harvest. But between now and then cooper says many people visit the Yakima Valley for fresh fruits and vegetables and to enjoy beer during the hops harvest now underway.
