It’s not in the headlines everyday like it once was but AIDS is still a public health concern around the world.  Yakima will  mark World AIDS Day with a candlelight vigil and service in Downtown Yakima.

The event is set for Thursday, December 1 to be hosted by the Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic and Yakima Neighborhood Health.   The vigil and service  to honors those affected by HIV/AIDS will start at 5 p.m. at St. Michael’s Episcopal Church, located at 5 S. Naches Avenue in Yakima.  Refreshments, local resources and free HIV testing will be available following the vigil.
