Yakima Teenage Gunshot Victim Recovering

A 16-year-old boy was shot in the stomach between the hours of 3 and 4 Sunday morning, KAPP-tv reports where officers found him conscious and alert near 1st Street and Nob Hill. KAPP-tv says the boy was shot while leaving a residence on the 1200 block of East Mead Avenue where a fight took place.

The teenager underwent surgery at a local hospital and is currently recovering from his injury, according to KAPP-tv.
