The Yakima School District is hoping to make some upgrades at Zaepfel Stadium following a meeting this week where parents and others talked about the districts lack of money for upgrades.

District officials now say the three best options include using non-voted debt (a long-term loan,) pulling money from reserves or collaborating with Yakima businesses to pay for the project. The Yakima School District might settle by only doing some of the upgrades. In that case, the Eisenhower track coach says installing a turf field and a new track are the most important.
