Yakima School District will need to look into balancing more of its funds this next school year as it faces a possible deficit.

The school district is looking at spending more money than they thought after district officials proposed a budget on Friday that showed an $11.3 million deficit.

KNDO reports the extra money needed will be taken out of the district's reserve fund to pay for the deficit, which is already running low.

Yakima School Board will vote on the budget next week and if approved, it will go into effect on September 1st.
