Officials with the Yakima Police Department are thinking of changing a policy that bans officers from showing tattoos on their arms. Spokesman Mike Bastinelli tells KIT News. "There's still limitations you can't have tattoos on your face and neck but the department wants to change the policy to allow tattoos on arms."
Bastinelli says however before making the decision the department wants to know how you feel. The department is conducting an online survey to get feedback from Yakima. Bastinelli says you'll find the survey at Yakimapolice.org. You can also find it on the Yakima Police Department Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages. The survey's will be available for two weeks before the department decides if it should change the policy.
Bastinelli says officers who do display visible tattoos on their arms were hired before the policy was in place.
