Yakima Police have been trying to identify a  suspected car prowler and credit card thief for nearly six weeks. Today, they released a suspect's photo.

 

Yakima Police detectives  have been investigating several cases of possession of stolen property and theft resulting from the theft of credit cards from a vehicle prowl victim in Yakima.  The suspect in the case has attempted to use the card approximately 20 times for amounts totaling about $1,200.00.  The theft and subsequent use of the credit cards took place on, and after, Saturday, July 14th.The suspect is an unidentified Hispanic female with dark hair,  5’03” tall and 110 lbs. She may be driving a blue or purple Chrysler minivan.

Attempts to identify the suspect involved have been unsuccessful.  The Yakima Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying the suspect.  If anyone has information that may assist in identification of the suspect shown in the photograph, call YPD Detective Cays at 249-6874.  Information may also be provided to Yakima Crime Stoppers at 1-800-248-9980.
