Yakima Police Ready If Suspicious Packages Are Found

As authorities continue to investigate a series of suspicious packages sent to politicians on the East Coast Wednesday what would happen if a suspicious package or questionable device was found at a business or a office of a local politician? Yakima Police Lt. Mike Pollard says they work closely with the Yakima Training Center bomb squad. "With larger cities they have the manpower to be able to do that"
but with Yakima being a smaller department Pollard says the area is blessed to have the resources at the training center so close and useful.
He says the department hasn't received any information about any politicians being threatened in Washington State.
