Yakima Police Looking for Murder Suspect

Yakima Police are searching for the killer of a woman shot Friday night near Davis High School.

It happened around 10:00 Friday night near South 8th Avenue and Spruce Street. 19-year-old De'Precia Ware was walking down the street with a group of friends when they ran into a group of men. Police said there was an confrontation between the two groups and that is one of the suspects pulled a gun. Ware and her friends began to run away, but the suspect shot several rounds at them, one hitting Ware in the back.

Police said it is too soon to tell if this is gang related or if there was a motive to the shooting. Wear's friends claim they did not know the group of men who confronted them.
